High Concrete Group is starting an $8 million expansion of its Denver plant that could create 50 to 70 jobs, the company announced Wednesday.
High Concrete president John “J.” Seroky said the year-long project, which he described as a manufacturing “revitalization,” will help it meet growing demand for its architectural precast concrete.
Seroky said the expansion will boost High Concrete’s architectural-precast manufacturing capacity and efficiency, lower the site’s carbon footprint and improve working conditions.
Water-Reducing BASF AdmixturesWe offer High Range Water Reducing Concrete admixtures based on synthetic polymers for production of rheoplastic concrete such as that used for Binghamton-University. Rheoplastic Concrete flows easily, maintaining high degree of plasticity for time periods longer than conventional superplasticized concrete. Rheoplastic concrete has the low water-cementitious materials ratio of no-slump concrete, providing excellent engineering (hardened) properties.Go> Back<
How Does a Water-Reducing BASF Admixture Work?
In rheoplastic concrete, BASF admixtures maximize the dispersion of the cement, enabling the production of concrete with an extremely low water-to-cement ratio. The end result is significant water reduction. In addition, these BASF admixtures inject rheoplastic properties into the concrete that enhances the placement of fresh concrete, resulting in greater efficiency in the production process. This technology is ideally suited for the manufacturing of concrete mixes requiring early strength and higher levels of fluidity.
What Are the Benefits of Rheoplastic BASF Admixtures?
These revolutionary BASF admixtures can provide the advantage of decreased placement times. This results in a reduction in labor requirements, which can help lower overall project costs. The lower permeability will improve the strength of the finished concrete product, while also increasing its durability. Additionally, the lower permeability will reduce chloride ingress and water reduction. You will also experience fewer segregation issues at all levels of workability.
