Mayor Robert Donchez, Senator Lisa Boscola and other dignitaries gather Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2017 for the dedication of a 626-spot garage in south Bethlehem. The garage at New and Third streets has been billed as jumpstarting redevelopment in that section of the South Side Business District. The $17.4 million is connected to a six-story office building under construction next to it. That office building will be home to offices for St. Luke’s University Health Network and Lehigh University. There will also be first-floor commercial space. Motorists can sign up for monthly parking passes for the garage. It costs $65 a spot. The parking authority leases 180 spots to the developer for his tenants.
The P-52 Swift Lift Anchor is hot forged from carbon steel. The formed
head provides spherical seating that the Lifting Eye engages, while a
disc-shaped foot is embedded in the concrete.
Due to its being a forged part, the Swift Lift Anchor does not depend on
welds or thread engagement to develop its safe working load. Forging provides
maximum safety with its advantageous material structure. This allows
the anchor to easily meet the OSHA requirement of a 4 to 1 factor of safety. GO> Back<
Key Swift Lift Anchor Applications, Benefits and User Tips
The Swift Lift Anchor is the perfect tool for raising concrete panels of various sizes. When edge lifting with the Swift Lift, you can easily maneuver the panels from their original horizontal cast position into a standing position. This makes the panels much easier to handle, both in the factory and on the job site. In addition, it simplifies the process of preparing the panels for shipping. To avoid possible injury, always check the tension and shear safe working loads prior to using the Swift Lift to raise the concrete panel into the vertical position.
The Swift Lift Anchor can also be effectively used in thin walls. However, it is important to follow the proper lifting technique to ensure safe use. The anchor must be located the minimum distance away from the panel corner. The anchor foot should be placed at the wall’s center line. While the location of the anchor head can be slightly off center, any misalignment of the anchor foot could result in an unsafe working load.
